Hosted by Southeastern Louisiana University. The tournament, which featured student-athletes from Southeastern, Lamar, LSU Alexandria, Louisiana Christian and Dillard, was named for Fourmaux, a former SLU assistant coach who lost his battle with cancer in 2016.

Parents, Coaches and players - all of the pictures from the Acadiana Slugfest have been posted. I apologize for the delay but there were some internet issues that needed to be overcome so that uploads could complete. I would like to take a moment to thank the USSSA Tournament Staff and the Umpiring Crew for allowing me field access through out the tournament.

First I would like to congratulate the NOLA Sun Devils on winning the Championship and also the Farm System Prospects - Guin on their Runner-Up performance. The Championship Game could have gone either way and the Sun Devils had a few more breaks fall their way. Both teams can hold their heads high for a truly well played game and series.
I have finished uploading all of the pictures from today (Sunday) and will be posting them as they are edited. Saturday’s games - that I was in attendance - have already been edited and posted.

To the Parents, Coaches, Family and most especially the Players …thank you for a great weekend of baseball - even as HOT as is was the games were all outstanding .. I have finished downloading all of the pictures from the weekend and have begun editing. As normal, I will be uploading them as I finish editing. The pictures will be posted by time and date. First and foremost my apologies to the parents, coaches and especially the players for the delay in posting the pictures from the tournaments held on April 9th & 10th and from May 21st & 22nd at the Traction Sports Performance Complex in Baton Rouge. Unfortunately, my computer crashed causing a delay in the editing.

After a brief hiatus - COVID related and otherwise - I hope to be back on a more permanent basis - I‘ve missed being able to capture memories - missed being able to bring a smile to those who know me but mostly I’ve missed being behind the lens - hopefully the layoff has not affected the mediocre ability I possess nor my desire to be the best photographer I can ….. 02/22/21
So far I am still working out where I am headed - but know one thing I will be shooting sports whether in New Orleans, Hammond, Thibodaux or if I have to travel out of state. To that end I will be posting pictures from the George E. Fourmaux Fed Cup Invitational, hosted by Southeastern Louisiana University’s Tennis Team. This makes the 4th year that I have had the honour to shoot this tournament and wish, at this time, to thank Coach Hayes and the SLU Tennis team for allowing me to be there and for the access to their facilities. I would appreciate the coaches, the ladies on the teams and/or their families to comment on the albums.

Graduation has come and gone - sport seasons have concluded and as such my contributions to the memories of the athletes, families and to the schools represented has ended. I wish to thank the Athletic Department at the University of New Orleans, the members of the Sports Information and Media Relations Department, the Coaches and Staff of all of the sports, the Student Athletes and their families. I am honoured to have been allowed to create, with my mediocre skills, memories that I hope you and your families will treasure long after your playing careers are over … I am proud that you have allowed me a chance to get to know you - not just on the playing fields but also off of them and more importantly that I have had a chance to see you all develop on the courts and in the classrooms.
To Your Families - Thank you for entrusting me with - and I pray that I have done so - protecting your children while still being able to show the passion and athleticism that each of them possess. Thank you for your friendships and for allowing me the chance to provide memories that otherwise you would not get a chance to witness ….

A change of templates will hopefully make navigation easier for all of us. At the top of the page are drop down menus for each of the sports I have taken photos of …I am still working on tweaking the site for your optimal viewing pleasure.
Once you select a gallery, look to the right top corner for a Grid symbol (4 squares making one square) click that symbol to show the gallery as thumbnails .
Please let me know how these changes work and any comments on the photography.

While I am working to streamline access to the various galleries and continue to add more as events happen, I have been told that access to the galleries is difficult at best. I have separated the galleries by sport and have introduced drop down menus, by sport, located in the navigation menu (top of the page). Click on the sport, currently Volleyball, Tennis and Basketball, and the galleries are listed chronologically. I hope this helps to make access a little easier. Thank you for visiting Ron
